Dr. Nimesh Gupta discussed the T cell response to SARS-CoV-2 in infection and vaccination. Asymptomatic and mild patients show a similar magnitude of Spike-IgG after almost 10 months post-infection. Persistence of T-cells at least up to 10 months post-infection is seen majorly in the symptomatic cases. vaccines improve the antibody and T cell responses in SARS-CoV-2 infected individuals, which robustly respond against the currently circulating VoCs (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta).
