Part-1 History Taking Joint pains by Dr Sachin Dhote

Dr. Sachin Dhote discussed how to take clinical history in joint pain. A good history taking not only requires a good theoretical recall but also experience and practice. It is important to spend sufficient time listening to patient complaints during their OPD. It is recommended to take the history of complaints in chronological order for a better approach. A full analysis of joint pain can be obtained with good clinical history and physical examination. Assessment the history collection should include the following- onset, duration, site of action, pattern, number of joints affected, nature, the association of symptoms, constitutional symptoms, functional impairment, relieving, rheumatology review of systems, and obstetric history.
